First off,
@TEC has giving me permission to post images of Page #2 & #4 of his Dad's "
Toy Engine Collector" Issue #2 pamphlet from July '95 (thank you Bob). On Page #4, the drawing that Mr. Cutler made is pretty much my version of the Bing engine, down to the BW Bavaria logo on the cylinder's end cap. It also clearly shows the pressure valve, which for a bit I questioned if it was original Bing hardware but it is original - YAY! Some of the information in this issue is also on
@Weedensteam / Frank's site on the page about the Weeden No. 14 but goes in a bit more detail.
I had a LOT of fun with this "Bing 6-Legged Engine" and I think it is one of the nicer ones I have seen. Though there aren't a lot of images / videos on this Bing out on the internet (I guess kind of rare?). I also believe I have the original pale, funnel, & box and only missing its instructions. Sadly, my box has no markings but it looks just like the on that
@txlabman has in his images with his Bing engine.
Lastly, I'd like to thank
@Paula again for fitting the governor base with a brass sleeve for the pulley shaft - the governor runs like a top now!
