Bing NORA
« on: September 13, 2021, 09:56:50 am »
The Bing NORA is not often seen in the market. I have this one
bought from a Swiss auction platform for very little money. unfortunately missing
the burner and the chimney and I hope one day they will
to be found on Ebay & Co. That engine was a poor family's toy, and that's it
what makes it collectable today. The boiler has a blued sheet metal jacket and the
Cylinder is an oscillating type. The steam test was perfect - sorry no movie.
The simple machines also have their charm - Arnold ;D

Thanks for the presentation of the machine. You are right in your statement that the simple machines have their special charm. They are not as glamorous as the big ones, but were probably very common because even the somewhat better-off working families could afford them. They too have a story to tell.
Cheers

Had to make the burner from scratch. Now I made a steam test
and all is working well. Only have to make some patina...
Arnold, enjoy

Good job, the burner. Who still needs the original.
Cheers
