I saw that boat auction. The info (which should be Hull and Stafford, not Stratford), came from another website, and I believe it to be wrong, at least with regards to the Union Toy Manufacturing Co. There were a lot of Union Mfg. Companies at the time.  Union Toy Mfg existed in 1874, and was still in business in 1890.  This much I've been able to confirm from historical documents.

The boiler in the boat looks like it was adapted from your Sphynx Buckman, so I'm guessing it was manufactured sometime after 1874.
