Cleaned up the Jensen #50 that sold Friday on Ebay
« on: April 05, 2020, 06:28:06 pm »
I hope to get this beast under steam sometime soon.

This morning at 8:00 am the seller delivered it in person to the Office of Steam on behalf if it's proud new owner.
In the interest of social distancing, he set it on my trailer, stepped back and I stepped up with towels and a disinfectant cleaner.

Then partial disassembly and clean-up would begin in earnest.

Sure, you will see it soon in my pictures.

It is identical to all other Jensen made governor controls.

Great photos Gil .... but those interior shots of the boiler make it look like some kind of evil torture chamber!    ;c)

That sure wasn't far from showroom condition, really nice work cleaning that up & its probably one of the best preserved low mileage Jensen #50's in existence .

Thanks, Daniel. It's an honor to be trusted with it and have the opportunity to share it.

I agree, Bruce. It is without a doubt the finest black fire box #50 in original condition that I have seen.
