I enjoy burning Esbit in a couple of my engines, but it stinks and is dirty. Reason I asked is that many Wilesco owners don’t know that the burner is designed to be pulled out or pushed in a little bit at a time and it changes the amount of flame. You’ll see arrows on the end of your burner by the handle, that’s why the burner tray and holder have the air holes.
