i bought the Roasty Toasty Man from a friend of mine.
i just cleaned him up a little and the tumbler ends are brass under the loose crud.
the original glass was cracked so i sourced one from Amazon,

i finally found the right reduction gear combination.
the plain gear did not look right so i found some S-spokes in it.
