I have been quick to point out "flaws" in the construction of my little D12...so in the spirit of far play, I would like to point out a couple happy observations!
- First is the Flywheel, it is the most "true" or tie for 1st place of all my Wilesco's.
-Second is the black pressed tin base, it sets the most flat with all 4 feet on the countertop with not a hint of rocking...Setting next to my D10 we can see they are the same size but the folds are more crisp on the D12 suggest Wilesco built a new Die? The hole pattern for engine mount is of course different for a D10 vs D12 but I have built Dies where you can turn punched holes "on" and "off".
This will date me a little, but I built a die for a Dodge truck inner door panel, the Die would cut a hole for a speaker in the panel if it was a premium truck...but if a base model, the operator would turn "on" a second punch that would cut the hole for the hand crank window regulator for Base model trucks....I doubt you can still get a truck in 2021 with hand crank windows!
