K & S Brass  tubing for the wick tube and feeder tube
 Ceramic wick is superior to cotton
 If the pellet tin os tin and solderable then there is no issue .
I tend to make reservoir from brass or copper

I have also often wondered if I turn up nice close fitting "caps"....if I could take a (3) wick version (pictured) and run it as a 1 or 2 or 3 fires by capping 1-2 wicks to get a low/med/high power output? I suppose running a gas unit IS the way to go for variable power....
