Yes, I have found what may be an early version of a Stuart 10V. I know it looks like someone might have made up their own slide valve assembly, except that would probably have taken more talent than just making the correct parts. Also, the capital ST (Stuart-Turner) in the cylinder casting makes me think they put it there because there was no valve cover. And, I know that the socket head screws cause some concern, but they have been around since 1910, which a lot of people do not realize. Either way, they don't look like they have been recently replaced! And, it is an interesting enough engine for me to decide to purchase it from a friend.
