PM Research Music Box

Does anyone else have a PM Research music box movement, made with a two step pulley so it can be belted to a steam engine? They are no longer made because the plastic clutch parts cracked. If so, how die you repair the movement?

it's not hard to make a steam powered accessories out of most music boxes, just cut off the handle & make a pulley.

I have one and the plastic ratchet wheel is cracked on mine too, but it’s still in one piece and works just fine.
Many years ago, these movements were sold by Edmund Scientific as surplus. I bought some then and I suspect that Solar Engines probably got theirs from them also.

I have two with different melodies. One cracked but plays fine.
