Finally # 9 - the Maerklin 4159/7/91 a Masterpiece
« on: May 03, 2021, 01:35:11 am »
Finally Number Nine - Maerklin 4159 - which was available with 7 or 11 cm Boiler Size.
This is the smaller one and I was on the Hunt for more than a decade. It is in an all original
Status and came with the el. control board and the Genny. For me it is the BEST of
the nine - and there is nothing more to say...
Arnold ;D  ;D  ;D

Wow!!!  Your right, that's the best one. It's in such nice condition.
Cheers Bob, I collect mostly German steam stationary engines.

Very nice Marklin Lokomobile. I have the 4159/94/11 twin cylinder. These are some of the unique superior Marklin design quality machines.

Congratulations Arnold.

This one is in very nice condition.

Like Mike, I also have its big brother the 4159/11/94.  Mine came from Gil who restored the base.  He has a wonderful series of videos on the restoration.

I am just enjoying looking at the pictures you have shown. There are worse ways to spend the evening. Really a great show you have given us in the last few days.

Really great cinema 😃👍
Cheers

Arnold ... this has been quite the amazing journey through your unbelievably AWESOME recent acquisitions. Each and every one would be the top showpiece of most peoples collections, but you managed to bring home all nine in one fell swoop!

I offer you my most humble and sincere CONGRATULATIONS, on what must be several dreams come true all at once!!!

Is there an English word for the equivalent of "speechless" when you are unable to type properly because your jaw keeps dropping down on the keyboard???

Wonderful!

I bet, Arnold, you have already bought two cans of stovepipe-silver in order to improve this austere engine aesthetically...  ;)
