Wonderful bio that might better have been placed at the head of Gil's great photo thread ... thanks for posting this Frank!

I will take exception to Mr. Huxhold's statement that all it takes is to "like" something to be able to do good at it. I have worked within engineering related fields most of my life, and worked closely with many very capable Master Machinists, and I can say unequivocally that just "liking" something is not nearly enough. There are other key factors such as talent, skill, patience, forethought, comprehension, and simple raw ability. Not everyone who may "like" something is possessed of those other requisite factors... but fortunately for the rest of us duffers, there are those who are overly endowed with each of those wonderful virtues, and our world is a far better place because of them!!!
