Homemade Stuff , Empire Knockoff
« on: March 21, 2023, 03:00:10 pm »
Well it is not exactly an Empire knockoff, but it is similar . After unsuccessfully bidding on several genuine Empire transmissions, $150.00 or more is pretty expensive , so I just decided to make one. While I didn't actually home make the individual parts, I did put it together at home. I used 3/16 shafts with oilite bushings and PMR oil cups. It uses a Mamod flywheel ,and PMR , Jensen , and Erector Set pulleys.

   Woe,

You are correct. I consider Bruce and Blue heeler Jim to be mentors. At my advanced age of 76 years , I can never hope to match them, but I have learned a lot from them.
