An interesting thread.

I agree with Jensen protecting its IP.  Any patents probably expired years ago (I did a Google Patent Search and didn't find any), but Jensen certainly has the right to protect its trademarks and copyrights. 

I suspect that the designer will be receiving a Cease & Desist letter soon.  I am not sure why they don't pursue royalty agreements with other builders or joint ventures.

What I worry about with Jensen is that they have lost their "thirst for innovation" and they don't seem to have any interest in anything new (which is usually a death sentence for most family owned businesses).

I feel like we are watching the founder's legacy whither away with the second/third generation (which is not uncommon with family owned businesses which rarely are successful beyond the Founder/Patriarch).

I hope I am wrong.  They have a loyal fan base here, for sure.
