Ola, I’ve run the Saxonia this evening with 180ml water in the boiler and 50ml of ethanol. The steam engine ran for around 10 minutes before the burners went out and after cooling down; there was 60ml water left in the boiler and so I I’ll continue to run it with these volumes. I have one question for you; unlike a turbine where you can run without oil, a reciprocating steam engine needs lubricating with steam oil and I can find no provision to add any. Is this a subject or gave covered with Karsten?
