Maerklin 4158/91/7 dark green Version
« on: September 08, 2021, 02:39:21 pm »
Sept. 1st 2020 I could buy a very nice 4158/91/7 and exactly
1 Year and 5 days later I got my second one. It is in a beautiful
almost new condition and came with all accessories. (first hand)
It is a late production with the dark green platform and the red
handles. Also the Manometer is the newer typ. There are no signs
of use only the Burner has some patina. It is for sure one of Maerklin's
master pieces. I have tested with compressed air and maybe I will try
steam...
Enjoy some pictures, Arnold ;D

   Thanks for the pictures, Arnold

I like to compare different generation.  I noticed the Steam dome on the later one is taller.

I'd guess these were made late 1920's for the first one and 1930's for the later one ?

Congrats on the new addition, it is in very fine condition.
Cheers Bob, I collect mostly German steam stationary engines.

At first I was thinking this must have been a Marklin reissue? They look so near brand new. I didn't realize they were so ancient.

Marvelous machines

Both are really nice and in wonderful condition.  How old are they?

I picked up one of these Marklin 16051 steam engine. It's new in the box.
Any idea what it is worth?
Im a Jensen collector. Not sure of the current Marklin market.

The engine in this thread is what the 16051 was based on, but is much older. Your 16051 would be worth about 1200
