I just received this engine today from an ebay offering
put up by Robin. It is missing some bits but it is clean
and runs well. I do wish it had a throttle. All things
considered, I'm very happy.

Happy Steaming,

After further research, the boiler is 5 1/2 cm but the slide
valve makes it, I think, a 4106/5.5. The 4105's I saw were
all oscillators. Am I correct?

It sure is a clean vertical Wayne, nice clear video & she clicks along nicely.😊

This is a Maerklin 4107/5 1/2 from 1909 with sight glas and drain cock.
Value is from 80 to 400 depending the condition. After 1919 this size was
discontinued. They only made 6 1/2 and bigger with fire door.
Very nice vertical and when completed a good collectors item.
Congrats, Arnold
Well, this is a slippery character to identify. 4107/5 1/2 is not on Robin's list
of engines. Is there an online database of Marklin steam engines? If so, clue
me in.

A very nice little engine, congratulations!
Guys, thanks for the replies.
Arnold....I've added a few pix. The badge is raised and nickel plated
as is the top band on the boiler.
Now, I have to hunt for the sightglass hardware, a whistle top, and the
smokestack. Knowing the exact model will make that more efficient.
Happy days,
Wayne
