Merry Christmas 1954

Always wanted but never got one of these has a kid. I circled a Wilesco roller (or was it Mamod?) every year in the Sears Christmas toy catalog. Alas Santa must have thought it too dangerous and difficult to make (expensive). Merry Christmas everyone, such that it is.

Merry Christmas to you, Brent..!!
May you and your family be blessed with all the goodness of the season.
Looks like Santa may have brought you a very nice Fleischmann Steam Roller... even if more than 60 years later!

Congratulations, Brent.
Those are very nice rollers. Actually, though I am usually not very fond of ESBIT, the tablet burner makes it easier to run it...
Happy New Year!

Thank you for your comments. I don't like ESBIT fuel either, but just display the box of it from the 1950s. Judging by the missing tablets it was only fired once, so I will probably never run it on steam.
