Got bored ( stuck at home over Covid-19 lockdown) so I come up with this modified engine/generator.
Can't seem to add pictures.
Still trying to get pictures up.
Every time I go to add attachment it post it for some reason. Don't know?

That is an AWESOME Modified Engine!!

Are you going to route the exhaust somewhere else to keep it from spitting all over the generator?
I have already drilled exhaust ports out to the side. Bad thing is it blows on boiler now. Going to get some brass tube and make 90 degree exhaust pipes to turn it away from boiler. The mount I made for cylinder blocked off the original exhaust ports.
That's a pretty nice setup boss
A self powered generator....absolute genius creativity , really neat Mod Randy .
I like it
Well done
Cheers

That's a beauty. Randy, couldn't you just turn the genny/engine around to point the exhaust away from the boiler. The steam line can turn to the left.
Great creation Randy..!!!
Love the 30's and 40's style wood base!

Randy, excellent modification, and it works great. I am sharing my 110 year old Bing self propelled steam generator. This one comes with an engagement & disengagement lever and reduction gear in case one would like to run the oscillating engine only to prop a toy or a line shaft only. I have also seen similar designs by Plank & Marklin.

That's neat Maxwell. Thanks for sharing it. I've never seen that before. Glad everyone likes my creation.
