I did splurge just a bit for my B-day last week, and ended up getting a few rather fun things that were not actually intended.
However, this item was fully intended to be a present to myself, and so I thought I might share it with you now.
It is a rather nicely tarted up version of a vin ordinaire Stuart horizontal, namely the common little #10H, but I found this one to be a bit on the uncommon side, and think it makes a fine addition to my collection. Purchased primarily as a display piece, for obvious reasons, it actually seems to be every bit as well built as it looks. With the addition of oil cups, cylinder drain cocks and some fairly simple, folksy pinstriping, she tries to run on just a breath, and does run well on air. I suspect the reason she struggles on lung power has more to do with the very small I.D. of the steam line that I have a very hard time getting any air down. However, my little Miller compressor runs her like she really wants to take off!
Here then is my "new" Stuart 10H :

Having two rather ordinary Stuart 10Vs, I have long wanted a 10H as well, so this one fills the bill beautifully!!!
