Hey all, I can't seem to find this engine online. Figured I'd see if anyone here knew.
Thanks,
Aiden
Looks like some sort of Fleischman perhaps from the 1950's.
I think that would be a good place to start.
Good Luck,
Wayne
Thanks, I tried but couldn't find any pictures on Google under fleischmann. I saw some doll ones that looked similar but not exact.
I think the oval badge on the front center of the base looks like Doll (DC), though E. Plank and J. Falk also used an oval emblem. Fleischmann was the follow on from Doll, so there is often much similarity evident! The engine itself and the pedestal it sits on both look very much like a Fleischmann configuration, but the firebox under the boiler and the chimney do not. Chimneys are often not original to any given engine. If it is a Doll, it would likely be very late production shortly before Fleischmann took over the line.
Hello stoker, yeah it's hard because the badge is worn down to the point you can't tell. I looked on google under all this brands and found nothing. Thanks for the help.

I almost think I can see the linked DC in that mess ....... almost?!?!
eBay Poland has one listed (ships from Vierkirchen, Germany) and says its a Doll. I can see the oval pretty clear with "DC" and I bet that is what your logo would be too.
Doll Dampfmaschine zum RestaurierenTwo photo's from sale attached.
That's definitely it Richsteamtx, thanks, now I just need to find the specific number for it but at least I know it's a doll. Now just to decide if I want to sell it or add it to the to-do list lol.
And honestly the paint isn’t too bad… it will look better in its original paint then it ever will repainted, so go to a gun shop or on Amazon and get yourself some Ballistol and just wipe it clean with a Ballistol soaked paper towel and some cotton swabs for the small areas. You will be surprised how good it looks afterwards.
Thanks for the help Nick, that's a really useful sight that I'll save. I'll give ballistol a try, is it similar to wd-40? I'm not terribly interested in the engine so it will probably be a trade engine in the future. Thanks for all the help!

Doll 348/2 seems about right.
