Good evening,
Any thoughts on what company might have made this engine?
Thank you,
I'm rather inclined to think that it is mostly if not entirely Home Made. There may be some few commercial parts included, or it may even have been a kit perhaps.
Steven's Model Dockyard had offerings that weren't too terribly far from that, but none of their finished engines and boilers conform to what I'm seeing.
I'm with Daniel, looks homemade to me.
It is a really nice engine, regardless of the maker.
It should clean up well
Have you tested it on air?
I haven’t tested it yet. I don’t own it, but am first on the list.

I hope you get it. My guess is pre-1920s.
It does have a number of characteristics of Stevens Dockyard engines.

Thank you for the information. I am going to check on it today. There is a Jensen 60 that is with it as well. Hopefully I can get both.
Nice piece and I agree home made.
I hope you can get it.
I was able to purchase both engines and at a great price. My question on the this one is how much should I clean it? You can see where I went at the base a bit and it appears to be brass. I assume the boiler is as well. I want it to retain some of its patina, but also want it to look a bit better than it currently does.
