Everyone that has added issues to manage on top of the disease and social disorder we all have faced certainly has our prayers and best wishes. As a young man with worries my father-who was a lifelong dairy and tobacco farmer told me "son, things just have a way of workin out" Not much to comfort me there. But over the years his wisdom rubbed off on me.
He was well known in our family as a man that absolutely did not worry. How priceless is that? He told only one story of not sleeping all night due to destructive weather that would wipe out our entire crop in it's most vulnerable state. (never rained a drop, flash floods and hail never came to our door but the thunder and lightening was blinding) From that night on his soft thought was "if there is not another day we won't need it anyhow"
Peace of mind is elusive now more than ever. But all of us press on and better days are ahead.

Peace,
Tim and Chris

I am sorry to say news hasn't gotten better just yet.

My Dad passed away at age 93 on Sunday afternoon with my step mom and her daughter (whose home he was cared for in) were at his bedside when he passed in peace.

He has wanted to go for some time and his directive (living will) stated clearly he would receive palliative care only. He could no longer get out of bed, walk, or hold a phone to his mouth. A month ago Simone and I went to Maine and visited him on his 93rd birthday. We didn't expect him to last that long but he hung on for another month. He always had a great sense of humor right through his last days with us. He would say "I'm all done here. I'm just not dead yet". While a big loss for us, we understand he has gone on to a better place for himself... a place he wanted to be and this is a good thing.

Nonetheless we will prevail.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your kind words and support and prayers.
It means a lot to me in this time of stress and profound sadness.

Not in order and if I missed anyone it is purely accidental, not personal.

THANK YOU....!!!
