Having some fun folks, you get the idea.

Converter the 55 boiler the fire power.  SV set for 30psi.
Fixed the sight guage.

Rigged it up to power a 10V. Super cute!

Just a temporary fun.

Enjoy.

Here is an update…

Added a lamp fixture that Charlie gave me (no clue where it came from) but the lamp was very weird. It took me hours to fix it.   The negative lead goes through the lamp tube and is supposed to touch the negative lead of the bulb, however the lamp fixture itself is the positive lead, thus I had to solder the negative lead to the negative part of the bulb, then insulate it from the metal of the lamp shade.

All in all, works good. The flickering of the bulb is shows up on camera more then it does in person due to frame rates.

This is a rough draft of the 7A plant I’m making for him.

I like your setup. I have one suggestion for this and your D10. Those engines both have a lot of torque. I would run your generator from the flywheel. I think you will get better results and probably use less steam. This engine is the same size as a Jensen #20 and that engine runs the generator from a 4 inch flywheel.
Best Regards

Bonjour Travis,

Nice plant indeed !

Little question, how will you protect your cast iron Stuart cylinder from rust ?

Mine has a screw on the cylinder head and... an anti-dead point device :
