Reproduction Jensen Riveted Boilers
« on: May 23, 2019, 04:57:33 pm »
Are there any forum members that would be considering a new riveted boiler? I know a few members have already purchased some and I was considering another run. This time I will be doing some 3" dia as well. I was just trying to get an idea of what I should make.

Don't know of any boilers needed right now, but I could use a firebox  ;)

That's just a sheet metal fold-up Nick. Try patterning it out of cardstock or thin cardboard and then give it a try.

Hi Jed, I’d like to have that original #10 boiler repaired if possible.  Both end caps are bad and the bottom sight glass fitting was stripped.  I fixed that with a stainless Helicoil insert, but replacement would likely be best.  The body, top fittings and the upper sight glass fitting all appear to be okay.

Can you work with that?

I would like to further supe up my SPS Double 5s with one of your riveted riveted boiler.

And I have an Old Jensen 5 that I am restoring now.

Both need standard 6” long x 1.5” diamater Boilers.

Boiler appears good, just the end caps are bad.

2 for me. 6” x 2.5”. Not 1.5” diameter. I had a typo in my prior email. Sorry.

Rotten.  They have some corrosion showing through and weep a bit under pressure.
