The little Willy - second version
« on: 6 hours ago »
Finally I could find the second version of "der kleine Willy" mini steam traction engine. These
have been sold by Holzapfel Company of Winterthur Switzerland ca. 1975 -  The second version has
a cast smoke box with faux rivets - very nice looking. Also the chimney is a bit higher and
there is only a simple burner tray - no  more a meths burner. The rear wheels have o-rings
and little bit an other shape. Some of these also made it over the pond as far as I know...
I guess the best picture is the one with the 2 little fellows on the crosshead guide of my
Ferdinand Gross Stuttgart (Germany) steam engine.
