I worked on this fine old engine all weekend. It's had a tough life and sustained some damage through the years. Someone applied glue to all of the fittings to seal them. I removed all of the glue. The drain cock was pushed in a bit and the boiler shell collapsed around it when I tried to service it. So I made a patch, resoldered the threaded receptacle to the patch and soldered the patch to the boiler. The whistle fitting could not be removed probably because the threaded receptacle was loose inside the boiler, so that fitting had to be soldered to the boiler. I removed rust from the burner housing and repainted it, cleaned an re-installed all of the fittings, and lubricated the engine. It runs like a dream on air. I'll post a video later.
