Im not really sure how to post on this forum so here goes...

I've been quiet on the forums for a while but I have been tinkering...

This is my last resto' Dol&Co 348#5
It had been on the project shelf for a few years so I got cracking on it last summer (December) :) :)

Pretty boring video but extremely exciting to me, I just posted this video in my thread: Sight Glass Seals >> I believe 1/8 OD Glass Tube

I have been fussing over the smaller Empire sight glass tube seals for some time, going through all kinds of different items and finally nailed a silicone tube that will seal up with little to no fuss.  It's a product from ZerksPlus website where I cut their 3/16" ID x 1/4" OD tubing down to 0.20 inches for each side of the glass tube.  Before it took so much time with trial and error using teflon tape...

Here is my Empire 92 "Play Boy", which I think really pushes the seals, IMO.  The engine actually has a replacement heater from China that is a 380W Injected Mould Heating Element Band Heater.

Now that looks very beefy and fully industrial.

I really like the blue, brass and copper color scheme off-setting the black base plate and blondish wooden mount.

Seems to like being able to idle at a very slow pace, sure sign of a well-built engine!!!

Nice work, Rich!  Well worth preserving the 92 in a working state.

I thought I'd make a action video with my Empire B-32 Battery Engine with some accessories.



In other video news, I been annoyed when I would zoom into my items and the recorded audio on my iPhone would lower.  Found there is a fix for that in the "Camera" settings and that is to turn off the "Record Stereo Sound" option!

I believe this is a pretty rare (on year only) Empire B-43 RPM "Gauge" Engine.  I think a bit of a gimmick but I love this little guy - different is good in my book ;-) 

Added the B-43 Lever/Pumper video :-)

I’ve got two of them, one now running after much work and heartache and another boxed example with also a burned out element which I will repair after I forget what troublesome things they are to work on with only two hands.
