Here's a BB that I only had for a week or so and has moved on to a friend in New Zealand
A nice copper-brick 65 that needed a dusting and a good polish... sold on as a found an even nicer example
Geez Nick, I didn't think you ever sold off anything 😃
My "gone but not forgotten" list would be pretty extensive, But there are a few I regret moving on & wouldn't mind having back again 😉

Haha

not often, most of my sold engines are duplicates from when a better example was found.
Here's a Bing loco with oscillating cylinder in the cab that was sold on as I found one without the solder repair, better paint and came with cars.
Fleischmann 125/4... one of my earliest engines sold on after buying a large 135/2, I decided to keep just the largest and smallest Fleischmann stationary.
Really miss this engine and if I find a nice one I will probably buy it again. This one was a wreck bought very cheap on ebay... the plating was very patchy on the boiler and being it needed many solder repairs including leaking endcaps, I polished the boiler to bare brass. I was able to save the nickel on the steam line and fittings.
Here's an unknown from the UK. It is not the only example as one like it was spotted at S.T.I.A. many years ago... will have to see if Colin Laker has this one in his new books...
I've only ever sold one engine, a Jensen 55 which is one of my favorites, but I have three others that are nicer, two of which I got from Gil. The one I sold on went down under, but I originally got it from John Reed, so there is some history to it, here among friends. The only problems it really had was that someone had tried to work on it with a pair of pliers, and were none too careful about doing so, and a poor replacement electrical plug.

Only sold one, now that's dedication to the hobby
Charlie will recognize this Luton Bowman PW203, sold on as I found one with a metal badge on the base instead of a decal.
Another that went to Charlie, was easily my best running Stuart BB
I believe this 15BL was sent over to Jan along with the iron flywheel 35 in post 1
And a couple cast base 15's that came as "extras"

This trio was sent of to Owen Kraus (D6, D16, D24)

Really miss having a D24...
