Nice looking roller and even though it's a little different it's very interesting - and that's a great story......glad you and Charlie could work a deal you both liked.
So they made a Roller and a Stationary?
This gives me something else to look for as I have the Stationary .
What is it size ? Compared to a Cranko to give me some idea .
Cheers
Dennis

I think I can get a comparison for you

I remember seeing one other roller, years ago, but in poor shape and I cannot find any records of it...
Fantastic addition Nick, congrats !!!
So they made a Roller and a Stationary?...
To my knowledge they made at least 3 types of horisontal boiler stationary engines.
An oscillator, a fixed cylinder, and a somewhat larger fixed cylinder vertical.
Nice one, Nick, and good on you, Charlie, for the trade!
I had a large HA Mobil vertical and what a fine machine it was!
Your roller looks to be of good quality, especially the engine itself.
Is that a slip eccentric I see that lets it start in either direction?

This site shows 2 of them, scroll down to 31, 32 and 32/1
http://www.tele-rene.ch/htm/museume1.htmThey also list the Holzapfel Der-Kleine Willi as being HA-Mobil in section 32/03, which I believe is wrong, going by my box...

Tractor they show as HA-Mobil Willy

And my Holzapfel Der-Kleine Willi
1 measly quart of drool, and one´s keyboard shorts out on you...what´s the world coming to these days?

Fantastic lineup Nick !!!
Great pictures Nick!
One of my best buys on eBay thanks to you. I bought it in March 2018 for $305.00.
I had it in my home office for almost a year and enjoyed looking at it every day.
Here is the video from my YouTube Channel:
https://youtu.be/Gjvt6bhzwhwSo everyone has the full story.....Nick really worked very hard for this trade. He had spotted an Empire No. 43 Reversible with Pump in an antique mall an hour or so from his home that I didn't have in my collection. He posted about it on another forum. It was priced at $250 I believe. I told him that if he would go back and buy it that I would trade him the HA-MOBIL Roller for it. Nick drove back to the antique store (probably 100 miles round trip) and had the antique mall store clerk contact the seller (who lived out of state I believe) and negotiated a much lower price. So, one of my best eBay buys became even a better buy for Nick. Most people just don't have that much initiative.
Another fine example of the camaraderie and sense of community that you get from fellow collectors.
Great pictures Nick!

Thanks Charlie, and probably a good thing I forgot the auction ending as we were the only two bidders, who knows what we would have bid it up to

Here is the Empire before its trip to Texas
