Just received this very nice 1950īs Jensen 70:

I have been pretty reluctant to ad one of these, since the model is quite well represented here already, via my Cooper Bros. 2508 collection.
However, seing this one listed for sale, seemingly mint looking in every aspect, i could not "hold my horses" any longer.
Looks a nice example Jan, i'm waiting to see the dry fueled #70 that Jensen added to the hobby line, don't know if anyone has bought one of those on here yet?
If that was reasonably priced, I don't see any reason to "hold your horses". I'd have bought it myself!
Does look brand new for a fifty year old engine ... nice score Jan!!!
Jan that looks in absolutely immaculate show room condition.
that looks new, well done Jan. I doubt anyone could find a better example.
I think having those bits makes it even better Jan, wow only $17!!!
A very nice example Jan especially with all the paperwork - I'd almost forgot about the old state tax stamps.
Jan, that is a beauty of a #70, and a must have, especially with all the original paperwork and box.
The #70 handled the #15 well. I have found if you use a 1 to 1 ratio, as you have with the smaller jensen engines a good result is gained driving a #15 generator.
Again, a great find!
Nice find Jan. Love the ephemera. Worthy addition to your excellent Jensen collection. Dare I say the best Jensen collection in the nation?
This just gets better and better!
Thanks guys
Not a rarity by far, but a neat little variation to ad none the less...even if it is just the smooth firebox and tag/sticker that makes it any different. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
I would love to have both of those!

Very nice Mint engine with extras
Jan, I beg to differ .... the condition alone at that age, makes it truly "rare", and with the addition of original box, literature and sales receipt, it is even rarer yet!
