I also followed it on eBay, but didn’t bid. I was busy buying all of Bruce’s offerings!

It's always a tough choice to decide on what to go for on ebay. Luckily in this case we both successfully bid on different items

and we can enjoy all of them on the forum
You got a great Christmas Present and you will have something
to enjoy for many years.

I have a confession to make... Santa was very good to me this year, and this is not the only Buckman to arrive... my Buckman collection has nearly doubled since I posted my "Buckman family picture"...

(one of them made it into the first picture in this thread

)
Nick, congratulations on a rare Buckman engine & workshop. I saw it early too, and sent the seller (Techantiques) the correct description as it was not described correctly. I did not bid, my Christmas funds went elsewhere.
Hey, Nick,
Do you think you bid on that enough times? 😁😁😁

I was trying to bid it up high enough so there would look like there was a lot of interest and keep it from being sold outside of ebay... has happened too many times to me in the past with rare items. I was going to stop doing this at $800, but it never reached that price. My only serious bid was placed with 3 or 4 seconds left. To be honest, I was shocked how low I won this one... maybe my 50+ bids scared everyone away thinking I was a shill bidder??
Santa certainly treated you very nicely, handing over such a rarity !
Congrats and Merry Christmas Nick

& I certainly thank you for that Charlie...lol
Nice one Nick, persistence pays off. 👍👍👍
Nice score!
I'm suppose to be selling so I haven't been watching ebay and you're lucky I wasn't.
Buckman (Union) and Frisbe are the two exceptions but happy that you got (if it wasn't going to be me)

Rare, of the only two that I've ever seen they were different size and had different accessories mounted and a collector in Ohio told me his had different tools then the one sold on Liveauctioneers 10 yrs ago. This one larger with more stuff on it.
Congratulations,
Al
Thank you Al, I have grown very fond of the Buckman/Union engines and have added quite a few recently

need to get a new "family picture" taken...

I am very lucky that nobody else bid as my final second, real bid was much, much higher than my winning bid...
