Hi Folks.
I'm wondering if anybody here has had any experience with the Bengs Flame eater "The big Nick"
There is a few YouTube clips and it looks interesting (something different) but I have never built or owned one.
Any info would be appreciated.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOimEYnE8UU&t=49sI love mine. A bit pricey finished, but well worth it. I would not recommend building it yourself unless you are an experianced machinist. Flamelickers are one of the most difficult engines to build and actually getting them to run!

Hi crazydoug
Thank you for the video the engine certainly runs well, I have put one on my wish list for the future.

Gary if you ever buy the kit, please make another build thread like your Stuart Beam build

I bought a Bengs Danni kit and every time I go to start.......I put it back away in the cupboard.
I love mine. A bit pricey finished, but well worth it.
I've never seen one offered as a completed engine. What are we talking price wise?
Oh CrazyDoug that is a beauty. It doesn't slow down when the light's turned on, it just keeps on going.
I'm going to repeat the question because I've never seen one done. About how much is a completed one,
parts and labor?
Bengs flame eaters are among the most refined I have seen...most folks are just happy to get them to RUN...let alone power something!
In the video you see him adjust a screw that controls a ball "type" valve...this is and added feature that most other flame eaters just do not have! It makes the engine run quite a bit more efficient ( more power)
I have long wanted a Big Nick...more throaty run and slower idle to...but the standard Nick is nice and likely higher top speed...you can not go wrong with ether if you want one of the best flame eaters IMHO
