Had a road trip today to pick ip my latest acquisition.

Also in the Bing 1912 catalogue is 180 degrees out to mine
The chimney diameter at base is 5 cm

This should clean up very well. I'm not sure what that means, the Bing catalog is 180 degrees out to mine.
But I wouldn't complain too much about the stack being longer. Don't nip the tip!
@Scorpion2nzCongratulations for acquiring this amazing Bing hot air engine. Height is not an issue; you’re very lucky to have stack with it. I would focus on adjusting the cooling fins spacing, and treating the firebox rust by stopping corrosion progression.
These are very powerful hot air engines.
I also have this model.
Looking forward to seeing a video of it running.

My plan. Is chimney and fire box is clean derust and possibly heatproof flat black paint .
Flywheel rim derust and light oil . Rest is just gently clean . Space fins evenly
Cheers

Catalogues usually are mirror images that flip orientation.
Mine has the same orientation as yours.
