Kim....Sorry to hear of your father's passing. Taking care of your
father's collection will bring up good memories. I bought a collection
last summer in Bristol Ct. - a relatively small one. Same circumstances.
I'm still working on making them runners.
Anyway, I live in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. What town are you in? Maybe
you are nearby? I'd be glad to take a look - I've been buying over EBAY
and other auction sites for a while so, in my humble opinion, I have an
idea of what these engines are worth. If it is ten boxes it sounds like
a big job. Maybe there are one or two that I'd love to acquire.
If you want to go with an auction house please do your homework. Go local.
I can ask my cousin, who has experience with this (selling toy trains) for a
reference. I'm thinking of going this route to winnow my collection.
Good Luck,
Wayne
Oooops....I forgot to add this question. Do you have any
photos or videos of your fathers steam collection? Digitized?
If so put them up on this site. We all like to see what the
other collector has.

Kim is not on the forum (that I know of) I found the post on facebook so she would have to be contacted through there. I did send her a link to the forum…
And I just realized my mistake! She is on the island of Jersey… about 3500 miles from New Jersey!
