• This J C Unis should arrive in a few days. I don’t think the smokestack is original, but everything else appears to be ok. I haven’t found much info on these engines except for the following link.

• Yes, the paint scheme on the base is very interesting and unique. It looks like the manufacturer used same pattern on their smokestacks based on pictures of other engines. I hope I can find an original smokestack, as there is no way I could ever hope to reproduce that look on another stack.

• I don't know much about these engines.  However, I don't believe that all of the stacks were painted to match the base.

  This oscillating cylinder model doesn't have a fancy stack and it's a very complete engine with box, instructions, etc, so I think the odds are quite good that the stack is original.

• Here's the first run on steam - kinda nice. It runs much faster on 10 pis air, so the alcohol burner it came with may need a little tweaking. I shut things down after 6-7 minutes because the boiler is small and there is no sight glass.
