I know Jensen have reintroduced this model after a bit of a hiatus and i was just wondering how many of the reintroduced models have been made so far?
I'd like to think maybe one of them may have made it to the UK?
It has been nice to see a few of them featured on YouTube too.
I think they're up around 17-18 of the reintroduction model.
I have number 15. Shipped from Jensen January 3, 2018.
Hi Philip, A big welcome aboard...!!!
I am glad you found us. Just 15 minutes ago i was trying to send an invite message message through your website and you were already here!

Mine is #17, built 2-7-18. When I purchased it, Dorita said it was their last engine casting and if more will be made, another order for castings would be necessary. I do not know if any more have been built.

I was at the Jensen factory a couple weeks ago and they have some new castings.
They are working on #19 (I believe) which I saw on the bench getting close to completion.
That would be a dream engine for me

Thanks Gil, it is nice to be back posting again.

Wow! i didn't know they were up to nearly twenty engines completed, pretty good going given that it is a big ticket item.
I'm guessing the majority have remained in the U.S?, i'd be interested to know if one of the reintroduced models has made it to the UK yet?, probably unlikely due to the high shipping cost and customs charges.
I saw a post on the Mamod forum a while back about someone visiting Jensen and they were discussing the safe packing of a #50 for overseas shipment.
Based on that I would guess at least one has made it out of the US.
Philip, you are correct with the high costs with bringing a Jensen #50 into UK. The customs duty alone would be around £800 GBP. plus I an guessing a bit here but possibly another £300 GBP for shipping. Also it may be prudent to have some sort of shipping insurance on such a high value item. That is if you could find a worth while insurer that would cover overseas shipments.
My #50 was production #6. Was completed November 2016. Was posted to me in Norway, and was well prepared for postage by the Jensen-folks. Arrived unharmed in Norway after a few weeks in transit. So dont know if any or how many may have landed in the UK; but at least one ine northern europe then ;-)

Steve, If a new #50 had made it to the UK i thought you would be the most likely person to own one! since i believe you have one of the largest Jensen collections in the UK. However the figures you quote do not surprise me at all which is why i don't think we will see one over here for quite some time. Plus the exchange rate is not as favorable as it once was which is another factor.
Unless of course we win the lottery!

Ola, i'm pleased one of these fine engines has made it into Europe!, given the estimated costs quoted by Steve i don't think one will be coming to the UK any time soon which is a shame.
I wonder if any of the new #50's have made it to the land down under?

Its a priority for sure ;-)
