Had some time today in the workshop and made a Plug for
my Maerklin 4097/6 - because I gave up to find one within
the next 100 Years. I used Delrin 35 mm Bar Stock and
Brass for the connecting pins. It worked without a short
circuit

with 110 and 220! Ha Ha
But good 3 hours on the Lathe and Milling machine!
It doesn't looks bad...

Beautiful work on the plug. Mine, not so - but it works.
I wouldn't let anyone else use it, as it is.
Too bad the engine, not the original, is a bad
leaker - too much blow-by from the cylinder.
I hope to find a replacement engine, someday.
Good Luck,
Wayne
By Golly that is beautiful work Arnold , 😊👍
Nice work Arnold! If I hadn’t just received one of these cords this past week, you’d be getting an email from me begging for one
A very nice job you did there Arnold, very nice indeed!
Terrific job there Arnold
That looks as good if not better than what an original probably did. Beautiful work Arnold.
Now that I know where to find a plug I can add some electric German engines to my list.
Great job, Arnold..!!
I'd say 3 hours machining was time very well spent.
Even more satisfying than finding the original.

Beautiful job of "carving" that one out Arnold ..... very well done!!!
