Just purchased a late 1970s - early 1980s Mamod Roadster from Ebay. From the pictures, it looks to be in good condition, and the price was right compared to a new one. The seller says it belonged to his father and he thinks it is unfired.
It just looks like fun.

Is the boiler scorched at all?
None that I can see in the following pictures, but I guess it could have been cleaned??

No I don't think it was fired, that's not scorched. That's an oldy alright, end of boiler
has an overflow, not a sight glass. Now you need one of these and you be styling.

Hah! A pretty sophisticated guy with that scarf and those driving goggles. I'm afraid he'd always be gone in the roadster, and I would never get to play with it.
He would be a nice added touch.
Happy Steaming!
I rather like that dapper driver!
That appears to be unfired to me that's a very good condition roadster you have there!!!
These cars are beautiful from any angle.

I like these older ones with 6-spoked wheels
That thing looks like it's in mint condition now that you have it all cleaned up!!!
