New Arrival

Unknown vertical
Base is cast iron 14 cm by 14 cm
Boiler diameter is about 7 cm by 8 cm high Side plus a bit more for the dome
Total height is 25 cm  boiler has a central flue .
Only markings on it are   9.  1916   Under the cast base and Anaconda on the valve rod .
 The screw in the SV.  bush is obviously wrong .
Weighs about 1.35 kilos

Some one somewhere will know what it is but i don’t .

Nice.Vintage104 Years old.Possibly American made.I did a search nothing turned up.

The base has a distinct Bing look to it Dennis however the firehouse and boiler are different.
My example shown here has 1913 under the base.

I wonder if ‘Anaconda’ is the name of or type of brass/brazing rod that that shaft was made from and was left on the piece. I have seen other rods with similar lettering.

Certainly looks German to me, but how much toy steam production actually occurred during the WWI war years I wonder? Seems like brass in particular would be hard to come by for toy makers!

Anaconda Copper was a large company founded in Butte Montana in the 1800's. I the 1920's they bought American Brass in Connecticut. They supplied copper products to the world.

Actually, it does not look like a German product to me...

Apart from the base, that is.

Looking forward to seeing a reliable identification and the video of its first run...
