• I purchased new Wilesco D161 from Peter a while back and it has been quietly sitting in my living room for a couple of weeks, I have finally had some time to fire it up.

  The photos really don't do it justice, I like the Green, Black and Nickel as a color scheme.
  I will say that the plastic bevel gears are extremely noisy, I may investigate replacing them with Brass ones to see if that will quiet it down.

• A handsome plant to be sure, sometimes gear noise bothers me & sometimes I think they enhance the experience , in this case I like the sound.

• I really like the colour scheme on your D161, much better than blue.
  It's a great runner and not too noisy,
  I always remove the drive belt from the fake governor before I run my D10 or D24el, the noise off that gets on my nerves.

  Thanks Bruce, My kitchen table tends to amplify sound, I will endeavor to run it on a more solid surface next time.
