Seemed a little sluggish at first, but eventually started chugging right along.
Nice.
What a great stirling motor. Gotta be happy with that
Nice score Jim ..... that is certain quite the unit!!!
Wonderful Jim.
Looks like a well engineered model.
I really enjoyed the video.
Cheers,
Charlie
Cheers guys, as I mentioned in the video I was very happy when I saw this listed on eBay as I have wanted one for a long time.
Its quite a lump of a stirling engine that's for sure!
Oh Wowee Jim , I think I was nearly as happy as you were with the un boxing ....and then you fired it up right then....what joy

that is one girthy , nice running engine...and straight out of the box !
Nice video Jim and that is one big fly wheel.
Great purchase Jim!, great that it is Australian made too.

I've been lucky enough to see David's Huxtable Stirling running in person a few times.
Well done Jim!
These engines are in a different league to those we are used to.....
I cleaned, oiled, filled the gas tank, and put mine away before last Christmas. Ready for Easter's show.
Obviously, that didn't happen, due to corvid.....
Dring last Monday's show day, it ran faultlessly for almost 6hrs. Straight out of the box.
Here it is today, awaiting a rub down, and a spot of oil. Ready for Sept 19th, at Papplewick.......

Love it!
They are a great design with a place for everything.
Jim you did a great job cleaning up that flywheel and I
love the wood you use.
Thanks guys, very happy with this purchase as you could probably pick up in the video

.
Interesting video Daniel, thank you.
I telephoned Robert Olds on Monday in Maryborough (he's the middle of 3 generations of Olds who are engineers) and ended up having a long chat with him, a very interesting man to talk to.
