A somber anniversary, but one I choose to remember, as were it not for this, there is the distinct possibility I would never have been!?!?

Saved a lot of Allies lives, I probably wouldn't be here either.
I think Japan got away with it too easy and Hirohito should have swung off a short drop gallows.

The same here. My father was on a ship heading over there when it happened. He got diverted to the Philippines. An invasion would have been a real meat grinder with massive casualties on both sides. He probably would never have survived.
