A friend took this photo of the beautiful day here today, light onshore ocean breeze and a nice balmy 30°c, UV is the usual in the extreme range between 8.30am and 5.30pm with sundown around 8.30pm or so.

Bruce its a shame I can't put sound to that pic.
Do any of you from other countries have cicadas? We have them literally by the BILLIONS in summer and we have over 200 species of them belting out noise at 120 decibels, they are literally deafening.

The kids love finding them on the trees. We watched a couple open up from their shell this past summer
P.s all my life I've seen hundreds of thousands of their shells and hundreds or thousands of live ones but never witnessed them emerging from their shells. That would have been fun to watch with the boys Nick.

That's so beautiful Nick.
The only place I've heard cicadas like that was in Indiana, just north of Portland.
Beautiful pictures guys, one hot and one cold. We used to get snow and cold like
you do in Minnesota Nick but not for the last four or five years. It snows a little
and melts a couple days later.
