Nice Lenn ,kind of looks like my tire Thumper for my semi 😉👍
Thanks Bruce, maybe the cowboys thumped they`er horses hoofs.
I'd hate to be on the wrong end of that - give you a real headache.
Awesome Lenn!
Your energy and ingenuity are admirable.
Thanks fellers, the old west was a crazy place, but not much different from today.
A weird design, for what it is...but a very nice job you´ve done replicating one Lenn
Thanks Jan, that`s what i thought too.
Why have a screw on cap with a insert when they could of just poured lead directly inside .
Exactly...
Would be something of a downer, if one during a heated situation missed and hit a hard surface, making the cap crack and fly of with the weight, which effectively would make the baton worthless as a weapon.
The only reason i could see for the screw cap solution, was if it should be used for directing traffic as well. One could remove the weight inside, and thereby point it much longer...before the arm falls off.
But swinging a baton in highly trafficked areas, really wouldn´t be necessary until later (i assume), unless they had police control horsedriven traffic in the biggest cities already back then?
Very nicely reproduced Lenn.
That would make a pretty good fish-bonker, too....
I`ve heard of that before.
