Looks like we're about a week off from the first snowfall, and I came across this on my memory card from March. There was heavy rain in the forecast and Grandpa's roof and deck were getting pretty deep. The deck made a lot of creaking sounds as the snow was shoveled off. His neighbor that he helps at harvest time lost his pole shed roof to the snow that same week.

Oh to be young (under 40) again and have the seemingly unlimited energy moving all that snow takes - you both did good! Now I'd look to an electric Toro Snowthrower or, even much better, a blade for the Case!
That was just amazing to watch....Jenny and I loved it !!!!!
Very very clever Nick and just awesome mate to watch this !!!!
Haha Thanks Larry and Jim!

Larry, this snow was far too much for those electric shovels, it was over half of the winters snow that had been sitting there and melting down to about a foot, foot and a half deep, very hard and packed. Would work if it was done every snowfall, but he doesn't use the deck in the winter, so the snow is usually left alone. I keep my roof raked, so I never end up with the icicles and ice dams he had, in fact most of the snow melts right off my roof.
Ain`t it purdy, can`t wait.
I watched the video last night and my first thought was "Dang that looks like a lot of work". Loved the videos and the pictures Nick. You are 10 days away from snow and we had our first day under 90 degrees yesterday! We are hoping that Fall is coming soon.

It's been wet and cool here for a few days, the house has now dropped to about 64 degrees, but I am holding out on turning the heat on as it will hit mid sixties and sunny for the next 4 or 5 days and then our first chance of snow.
that was fun to watch, you guys are Crazy energetic....I could watch you all day....lol, thanks for the neat video.
While showing the video to my wife, we noticed our oldest son made an appearance, coming up the far steps at :17, goes out and around the deck from :18 to :22, where her got stuck and she had to lift him over the railing, then he disappears under the deck from :25 to :32, which was probably several minutes and then heads to the door where my grandpa lets him in at :34

And yes I "Moon-walked" at 3:08
