Ran across this recently, and thought I'd share as it makes total sense to me.
The United States has become a place where media personalities, pro athletes and Hollywood entertainers are mistaken for people of importance (and we might add politicians).
I’ve needed a doctor.
I’ve needed a teacher
I need farmers every day.
I’ve also needed an auto mechanic, house painter, plumber and a lot of other hard working people.
But I have never, not even once, NEEDED a pro athlete, media personality or Hollywood entertainer for anything!
Daniel, i believe one could replace "United States" with "World", and still find this a true statement
Well said Daniel, that sentiment is a keeper!
Rog
it is hard to understand where people seem to place their idolization.
Thank you Daniel I thought that I was the only one that thought this. Real tired of hearing them spout off about all these issues only because they have a platform to spew it from. We all have a brain and we know the difference between right & wrong so we don’t need some celebrity telling us there opinions or how to vote. Sorry, I’ll get of the soapbox now.
We also need scientists. Now more than ever.
I hate this false surface culture we're going through.
Hypocricy is the name of the game. The mentally limited are running media today and setting the tune to our destruction, less we throw them out.
Just saw this on FaceBook today, and it brought on a smile...and a bit of sadness:
