Not too much resto with this one, it came in sound condition but missing its chimney and a bit cosmetically challenged:

I have used artistic licence on the new chimney, never seen a Steampak chimney before, I think it looks OK. Tried to keep it fairly original but the engine pedestal paint had to be redone as did the firebox and burner, the latter needed some minor repairs but has been tested and works well. I'm happy with the results:

If anyone knows anything at all about the Steampak brand please let me know - all I have learned so far is that it was a British brand, they were made somewhere in the South coast area, maybe Southampton or Portsmouth?
Dave
Liking that mate, nice job
I never heard of Steampak, but you did a nice job sprucing it up Dave.
Nice clean up and it looks like it has a large burner.
I can't remember hearing of this brand before, nice resto.
This is my Steampak Engine

I've never seen one at these either. You did a fine job bringing it back up to snuff, it looks just fine now.
Once i have found the right colour for the base I intend to rip it apart and restore it JUST don't where on the project list it stands.
1st I've seen too. Interesting little engine and great job on the resto so far.

May be "garish" but I think you got a very close match to the original look
Reminds me of the special D8 from Wilesco (and yes I still need to get a picture taken of my Steampak...)
Thanks Nick your right it is a tad bright just like the Wilesco D8
Great job Dave i have not heard of that engine before...but you have returned another engine back from the Heap...Steve
Have had a few issues with getting this one to run properly and there is still some fettling to do, but we managed a half decent steam run today:
