After grinding the profile, and making the box to a c channel the rough grinder marks were filed with a smooth file.

For a laugh I decided to lay the peices out, it measures 21" wide and 46.1/4" long. The end peices still need cutting to size and profiling. Having seen the size I'm now wondering if 3mm crossbraces will be sufficient thickness to hold the corners in place, there is a lot more angle to go in which will stiffen the chassis frame. I may cheat and weld the chassis yet rather than bolt, but this leaves little room for error when setting it up.
