Hi Bruce,

The compact camera I use, is a five year old reasonably priced Sony, nothing special. I think a lot of the apparent smooth ride is that the tin plate wagons are very light, the wheels being just 16mm (5/8") in diameter, and they are run a lot and have a small build up of dirt on their wheels, making them bit eccentric. On the other hand the camera wagon is rarely used and is heavy with large clean wheels. The track though being recycled is reasonably smooth.

Yesterday was the first time that this new track was used on a CMES public open day, and it rained! And did it rain, it was said we had around 25mm and inch in old money, but the public and their children came! Nowhere near the numbers that usually do but still quite a few.  I did make a bit of a video which I will bore you with later this week.

Take care Tony.
